forScore

On January 27th, 2010, Apple introduced the iPad. It revolutionized industries and confounded the press, and the moment we saw it we knew it was the ultimate sheet music machine. We immediately set to work crafting forScore, and a few very short months later we introduced version 1.0. Since then, we’ve leveraged the support and feedback of our uniquely passionate customer base to release over two hundred free updates to forScore, all in service of our primary goal: to make the best sheet music reader.

In 2014, forScore came to the iPhone thanks in large part to Reflow, one of our most innovative features that enhances readability on small screens without relying on specially-formatted file types. With the release of macOS 11 in 2020, forScore came to the Mac with full support for drag and drop, contextual menus, and more. In 2024 forScore debuted on Vision Pro, bringing sheet music to spatial computing for an incredibly immersive and flexible experience. forScore is currently offered as a universal purchase across all four platforms: iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.

Over the years, we also introduced several standalone versions of our most popular audio tools: Modus, Onyx, and TuneWave. We also expanded our remote control protocol, Cue, by creating a combination standalone remote app and dual page viewer. All four apps are currently offered as part of the forScore Music Box app bundle and are available for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, visionOS, and watchOS.

About forScore, LLC

forScore and its fellow apps are proudly made by independent app developer Justin Bianco in Seattle, Washington. There are no investors to please, no salespeople, and there’s no middle management—just a musician and fan of Apple products who believes that a clear objective and willpower are more important than having a big team and a trendy business model. Justin manages every part of his company by focusing on his core ideals: attention to detail, thoughtful design, efficiency, artistry, and utility. He envisions a music reader that does everything paper can and more, and he works hard every day to make that vision a reality for millions of people around the world.
